The weights listed below are approximate. The thickness suppliers list as “2cm or 3cm” are always nominal, based on where the saw blade was when they cut the stone. The weights also can range based on the density of the stone. For example, soapstone is on average 3 lbs per square foot MORE than any other stone. However, there won’t be quite as much variations between other stones.

3/8″ Tile = 5-7 lbs per sq/ft
2cm Slab = 10-14 lbs per sq/ft
3cm Slab = 15-21 lbs per sq/ft
3cm Soapstone = 21-24 lbs per sq/ft (Depending on density/thickness)
