If you’re the type that likes to “diy” your soapstone countertops. But you’re nervous how the edge will turn out. There is such thing as called an organic, imperfect edge; its called a “Franklin Edge”. Its basically a handrubbed, made to look antique & worn. So if you dont mind this look, or prefer it; then you should be rest assured that your soapstone counter edge will have this look, if its the worst that it will get :-)
The more pillowed/rounded the edge is, the less likely it is to avoid chips & nicks. Scott Seuren, founder of Bucks County soapstone says, “its kind of like a waterfall was beating on a rock for 500 years.”
